Rule #2: Keep Belongings with You at All Times

This one will go along with UNLV Police’s first podcast.  It has to do with car burglary and theft.  If you didn’t know, that’s what keeps most of UNLV’s police officers busy.

At 8 a.m on Oct.31 Edward Brown parked his 2002 blue BMW in the L Lot.  What he forgot to do was store his Dell laptop in a place out of view.  Brown came back to his car and found that his laptop, along with a wallet of credit cards, had been stolen.  He wasn’t sure if his car had been locked or not because he pressed his unlock button before arriving at the car when walking towards it.

Don’t keep valuables in your car.  If you do have valuables store them in your trunk.
